Abstract
The COVID-19 vaccine is a means of self-protection against the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. The community of Taloarane village still has doubts and negative perceptions about the effectiveness, safety, and compliance of the vaccine with religious requirements. This has caused fear and anxiety among the community regarding vaccination. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and anxiety levels among the Taloarane village community. The research method used is observational analysis with a cross-sectional design. All data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. The research sample consisted of 60 people who had not been vaccinated against COVID-19. The results showed that of the 60 respondents, 35 people (58.3%) did not experience anxiety about COVID-19 vaccination, and 25 people (41.7%) experienced mild anxiety. Bivariate analysis using the Mann-Whitney test showed a significant relationship between community knowledge and anxiety related to Covid-19 vaccination, with a p-value of 0.003. The results showed a relationship between community knowledge and anxiety in Taloarane village, Manganitu sub-district, Sangihe Islands regency. These findings emphasize the importance of educating the public about the COVID-19 vaccine. By addressing misconceptions and providing accurate information, public anxiety can be reduced, thereby increasing vaccine acceptance and uptake.
